Hi, can anyone give me any websites that list houses for rent in Brunei, in particular Jerundong and Tutong? Trying to find out how much rent will be in these areas for a nice 3-4 bedroom house with private pool but can't find anything on the internet. Many thanks!

Hi My family and I also will be relocating to brunei. And I hope that some one is able to shed some light on house rental and school for my 2 children aged 10 and 12 and procedures regarding house maid.

1-3 month accomodations close to Empire?

Yes, I am here in Brunei now; I've been here in BSB for 5 days now. Staying @ the Jubilee this month, while I look for an apartment or house to rent.

People have all been very kind/polite so far, but I will need help to figure out things like where to look for rental property, how to sort out a phone & phone plan, where to buy a good used motorcycle or car, etc. Divers are usually great abouyt this sort of thing.

I've already been in touch with one diver here, and - from the web - I hear that there are 2 chances to meet fellow divers:

* Monday evenings, Anggerek Desa Pool, and

* Tuesday evenings, Jalan Muara, Seafood Centre, near the Tiong Hin roundabout

I'm going to try to make both of those this coming Monday/Tuesday.

Dear Karen,

Jerudong is a "satellite town" of the "super rich and famous" of the locals. It has a world class international school which in my mind best suited to the educational development of your 17 year old daughter. This school by the name of Jerudong International School (JIS) follows pretty closely to the UK educational system; offering a wide range of subjects.

On the matter of housing, there is plenty of private houses and apartments to choose from in Jerudong or Bandar Seri Begawan (BSB) - the capital of Brunei Darussalam.

In KB, we have Panaga School and the Hornbill School....catering to the needs of expats (mainly Shell expats and British soldiers/personnel). It is a very small town with a very rich diversity in its society. Housing should not be a problem.

For a challenging life style, BSB can perhaps be your cup of tea.

I would be relocating to brunei next month with my wife and our 3 month old son. Most proabbly we would be in Seria.

Could anyone please let me know about the availability of suitable medical care in brunei.

national heath centres vis-a-vis private practitioners vis-a-vis advance medical treatments - i guess we would be covered by BUPA insurance but need to know about the availability.

Regarding domestic help, what sort of availability, rate and security is expected?

Do you know agents or contact information for fully furnished units in Brunei? My preference is a studio or 1 bdrm apartment.

I will be working there by June and I need a place to stay.
