I’m new to this forum, but I’d like to invite you to a Connectbrazil dot com tradition: Each year on Thanksgiving Day, our 'Brazilian Christmas' webcast channel is here for your listening pleasure 24/7 through New Years Day. This webcast began as a two-hour special on our syndicated radio program 'The Sounds of Brazil' in 1996 and today helps to actively support the Dreams Can Be Foundation, a Brazilian children's charity organization based in Rio de Janeiro and New York.
Our holiday webcast reflects our approach to the Brazilian music we play on all three of our webcast channels - these instrumentals and vocals sung in Portuguese and English are performed by Brazilians and non-Brazilians alike - a true celebration of the special relationship that Brazil shares with the world.
And finally, 'A Brazilian Christmas' is a musical way for us to say 'thank you' to the many Brazilian communities we serve - here in the US, in Brazil, and worldwide. As you listen, please take a few minutes to visit the Dreams Can Be website – they share our commitment to expanding Brazilian culture beyond its borders. So, happy listening and best wishes to you during this holiday season.
