Weather & Clothing
October is the Autumn season in Bangladesh. The sky generally remains clear and the average day temperature is about 27°C. All sessions generally will be held in air conditioned hall. Light clothing will be comfortable.
There are many shopping complexes in Chittagong, namely - New Market, Chittagong Shopping Complex, Mimi Super Market, South Land Centre etc. & of course traditional Reazuddin Bazar & Zahur Hawker Market. The shops are open throughout the week including Fridays.
Currency
The monetary unit used in Bangladesh is Taka. The current exchange rate is approximately Taka 50.00 for US $ 1.00. Foreign currency and traveller's cheques can be exchanged at the Airport, authorized banks and hotels. Credit cards are also accepted in some hotels and shops. |
