Hi - we are bringing our dogs with us to Bahrain. Are there any particular rules re registering, walking, etc.
Also, are dog food supplies readily available?
Any information would be appreciated. |

Did you get any joy on this ?? We're in the throes of moving to Bahrain
as well, and the "dog" is a big issue for us. Do people have dogs in Bahrain ?
How do they survive the heat ?? Can you take them anywhere ?
I'd be delighted if someone could throw some more light on this.
Thanks,
Andrew |

Hi Andrew no replies but have found out a fair bit. I can't give you my email address this forum wont let me but if you look at the following sentence and take out all the spaces you could email me direct. jean wragg @ pacific. net. au
It's not difficult to take your dog and we are now looking at moving ours there this year. My partner has even gone to the equivalent of the RSPCA in Bahrain to talk to them. The heat is the main problem. so when you take them is important. Right now is hot, later in the year is better. But for me, my dogs are in Australia and are used to 40+ heat on a regular basis in summer. The importation process seems quite simple. I don't know what it's like from UK but the rabies shot is the main problem. this website has great info under 'bringing pets to Bahrain' - or just Google 'quarantine Bahrain' you'll get heaps of stuff - I found all of my stuff through Google. Good Luck |
