HI
We are relocating to sydney this year--just wondering which best suburbs in Sydney to raise a family and that near school. We have 2 children 3 and 5 years old. We dont mind commuting for an hour. And also what are the prices for renting houses...or perhaps 2 bedroom units. my hubby willbe working in the CBD.

My wife has family in Sydney and the rule is the closer to the beach the better the area.

You are best of staying away from places like Mt Druitt, St Marys, Blacktown. If you can afford it the Northern Beaches and anywhere along the coast line such as Coggee would be perfect.

All in all the crime rate is much lower in Australia so you probably won't have a problem with most places even if you decide you have to go out west.
