Hi there!!

I'm planning for a trip to Thailand (Bangkok, Chang Mai etc) this summer. As it looks now I will be gone for the most of August, and I have understood that this is in the rainy season. My question is how much it rains? Is it worth going there in August (I would like to see the sun ).

Have u ever heard a joke that Thailand has 3 seasons? (Hot,hotter and hottest!!! haha...i'm not kidding)

my country often has sunshine days so don't worry whatever season you visit Thailand, you can see the sun for sure

oh! sth. to share....if you really wanna see the sun...you'd better visit Phu Ket (a very,very beautiful island in the south) it has "Phrom Dhep" a cape which is famous for tousists coz it's the best place to see the sun set.

another one is "Loey", a province in the North, has "Phu Kra-deung" kinda like a hill (or sth. like that) is a place where you can wake up early to say g'morning to the sun.

p.s. it won't rain too much here, i'm quite sure but you should prepare yourself well (be healthy) for visitting "Phu Kradeung" if you'd like to.
