Hi all,
I am currently studying for a BBA in Business at one of Bangkok's many private universities. I am not impressed.
Many of the students on my course are chinese and have suggested that Beijing would be an exellent option for me to study and also make some money teaching English.
I am a 25 year old Brit. and would be coming with my Indonesian wife and baby daughter. Does anyone have any thoughts? |

Hi.
It is pretty easy to find work as an English teacher, depending on what part of China you are looking at. Some parts of China are so desperate for mother-tongue English teachers, that many schools are willing to accept candidates who have had no former teaching experience. I know this to be true because I am one of only 4 UK English teachers in the city (Tongling, Anhui), and I am the only one with a teaching qualification. The other 3 all come from non-education backgrounds. You can either approach schools directly or pay a visit to the local Foreign Affairs Bureua, who should be able to furnish you with a list of contacts.
Hope this helps.
Good luck,
John |

Hi, I'm an original CHina Chinese. for ur case I think it should without any difficulities if u really wan 2 work in China. but,
if u spend ur China wages in CHina should b enough 2 covering all ur living expenses, but how about if u leave this country. you have nothin 2 bring back.
15 RMB = 1 pound think about it carefully.
U like ur own life style, dont care about $$. fine, but most of China Chinese culture is they will be very close, warm when they meet you in beginning. but... since the time flying, you will feel they getting colder and colder. In China, there is not equal oppotunity, your wages may 5 times higher than other foreign employee (same position, but mayb from malaysia, singapore..) 10 time or even more higher than local ppl. So if happen in UK, u know what happen. In China, even ppl have no human rights, no power to change the facts. but they put this in their heart, they will try to point 2 ur back or... I really dont know what will happen, but my friends have some bad experiences in China.
For me, a normal china chinese, I welcome u or any other region ppl work/travel/study in China. But, pls rethink it carefull. |
