I recently moved to Taipei and am working in the logistics department of a company that specializes in air and water indoor purification. They lent me some of their stuff to put in my apartment and it has made a huge difference as far as getting rid of the pollution inside and making it easier to breathe. Also, I am saving some money by not having to buy bottled water everyday. If you want some info just send me a message and I'll put you in touch. I'm the only expat in the office too so it wouldn't hurt to meet a few people.
