Hi,
Am looking to relocate to Abu Dhabi or Dubai with my family and am in the process of getting a job offer.
I've searched through the web to try and find out about visas but to no avail.
I live with my girlfreind and our 4 kids - we are both divorced. Is there an issue in obtaining a family visa?
Any comments grateful |

No worries for YOUR kids, you can sponsor them.
As far as I know, you won't be able to sponsor nor your girlfriend, neither her kids as member of your family...
But if she is working no problem...
You have to know that cohabitation with adults of different genders is illegal by the law in UAE... Theoretically !!!! But it's tolerated for the western expats.
But why didn't you pop the question yet ?
If she say "yes"... Problem solved! |

| Lol not that that's an awkward question to ask on a public forum, if anywhere. |

The rules for visa's are changing all the time, although you will get a residence visa for yourself (and possibly for YOUR children) you will not get a residence visa for your "live in" or her children.
It is against the law to "co-habit" and while some do the consequences of being caught are severe.
Your girl can always come out in her own right as a visitor, if she is British she can get visa on entry its valid for 1 month but to get a residence visa she will need a job. Now there's a thought |
