Hi, I have posted this in another section too, but it is vital someone spots the post as I only have a week to sort this out.
I was looking for a villa, but too expensive, so i started looking at flats in a villa or partitioned villas basically. But I have since found out that it is illegal (from 3 estate agents) and that there is a crackdown in AD (similar to Dubai) in that anyone found partitioning a villa will be fined and ordered to kick out the tenants within a week.
The tenants dont get their [spam word detected] either.
Anyone heard this too? can you shed light on the matter?

I guess you didn’t get the right information. its totally legal and safe to have part of villa in or outside Abu Dhabi, the illegal practice is to rent it to labors or bachelors as they are not safe to live in family residential areas.
The government has spotted the issue on the news papers and media to not allow renting to labor and bachelors in the family residential areas. As there are camps located near mussafah.
However, Tenant has to have a contract to avoid any disturbance
you can contact the rental dispute committee in abu dhabi at +971 2 4070 145 |
