I'm looking at an apartment around that area. Can anyone tell me what i might find entertaining there? Are there any shopping malls, theatres etc? And is it easily accessible to the city?

Looking for an apartment is quite entertaining in itself.

It's a nice area. I would live there! Love the Chi Spa at Shangri-La. A lil' pricey but well worth it.

The Shang Palace and Hoi An restaurants there are also magnificent.

There's no shopping mall or theatres tho'. Just lots of dust with all the surrounding construction. There's a lil' creek there - maybe you can dip there for a swim :D

It's around 15-20mins from the city.
