I have entered UAE on a 90-day service entry permit. I think this is also known as the mission entry visa. I was made to understand that the mission entry visa can be extended once by another 90 days. However, I note in the visa the following clause: "The Bearer can reside in the country for 90 days from the date of entry and should leave the country within 7 days from date of expiry and extension will not be allowed..

Does that mean I cannot extend another 90days as I have thought was possible? I'm not sure whether I'll need the additional 90 days but in case I do I'm afraid that the above clause will not allow it.

Well, although it is too late to answer but it is to be noted that 90 days visa are not extendable. A new visa should be obtained and you should leave the country and come back again.

The 90-day mission visa is renewable once for another 90 days. In total I had a visa for 180 days in Abu Dhabi. I was in A.Dhabi for about 5 months and left upon completion of my mission.
