I've only been here 3 weeks but the places that I've been to that I though were worth seeing.
Wild Wadi World in Dubai
Diving in Fujairah
Noodle house in Minadat Jumeirah -->> best chinese food in the world!

I can't believe you just said that coming from Australia. No chinese food here is better than what you get in Australia and I KNOW because my ancestors are chinese |

Yeah I work for the govt here, I have to pace myself at 50% CPU utilisation otherwise I make everyone else look bad and that's not good for morale. |

Seriously Noodle House was the best! Even compared to HK and Canely Vale, Caberramatta, and St Kilda.
My grandma's half chinese so I've got enough chinese blood to tell the diff between good and bad chinese foood.
Actually, don't go to the Vietnamese restaurant call the Hanoi something on Khalifa street, I had lunch there today and it was crap. I have this rule that hasn't been proved wrong yet, it is "If you can't order in vietnamese, the food will be crap" (just because you can doesn't mean it won't be crap either tho). The sauce for the fresh spring rolls was like crap vinginary chilli sauce instead of a hoi sin based peanut sauce, and the noodle soup was quite bland and the beef balls tasted more like italian flaming meatballs.
I do rate the Wok at the Crowne Plazza tho, all you can eat and drink Sat til Tues nights for $135AED. I got smashed on tiger beer and I needed to be rolled out. |
