|
|
I have been offered a job in a Company called Al-DAR Laing o Rourke. They are developing Raha Beach Project.
I have returned their offer letter signed and accepted. They tell me; that they will apply for work visa for me and it will take 30 days around. Does work visa, take that long in Abu Dhabi ?
Does any body has idea or working experience; about how's this company ? are they strong in immigration or not ? any thing about company culture ??
I will be thankful for your sharing.
Regards
Abdulla |

i donno how they treat here guys from country NULL, but for me it normally takes 4 to 6 months to get visa ))) too beautiful to work, i suppose of course i'm not lucky to have a deal with SUCH companies...
advice of long term sufferer: sign everything they give you and god help them not to forget to follow it up

Gees, I'm so learning the virtue of patience over here. I was told it would take upto a month, and I have friends that have been here a couple of months and not got their visa yet.
I was really surprised when I was told it was going to take a week unless I needed it urgently, and me being me said yeah I need to buy a car, so I got my visa the next day. |

Come on guys, it is not that difficult to get a visa as long as the company and / or employer has valid licenses and clean record with Labour Dept and Immigration.
The process of obtaining a visa "if you start from scratch" should not take more than one month in worst case unless the PRO is very lazy or does not know the correct way to submit the applications. |

Well, I think it took you only one day to get the stamp on the passport and there must have been a couple of weeks for your application to be processed until that Tuesday |

LoL It took longer for the Sheik to sign off on my job offer than it took to get my visa, serious, I submitted me paperwork on Tuesday and got the visa the next day. But what I did notice compared to my friends, I came here on an employment visa not a vistors visa. I was even able to open up a bank account on the day I arrived using my employment visa. And I work for the govt here, so I'm sure that had something to do with it. |
