Expatriate Forums in Abu Dhabi (UAE)

Hi, myself and my youngest son have recently joined my husband in Abu Dhabi and we are living on Khaliffa A, my son is due to move into year 12 this time but we are having real trouble trying to find him a placement.

I wonder if anyone else can offer us some advice who may have experienced a similar problem? We have visited The British school and put an application into them, but they have told us that year 12 is over subscribed and that they have no places available. We have looked into sending him to Al Yasmena in khaliffa but it does not yet go up to grade 12.

I think 2 new schools were due to open this September, The British college and The Brighton college but both are now due to open in September 2011 instead. Has anyone else experienced these difficulties and can anyone offer some advice please, Many Thanks, Sarah334
