I thought I'd start a thread on bad/dodgey service/business.

Besides irritating me, it might be useful for new expats to avoid certain businesses and dodgey deals if it were posted here.

Etisalat are terrible too.

It took me 3 visits to their business centre to get my Blackberry connected because the staff think "how can an individual have a Blackberry Enterprise Server?" dumb asses. Easy, when you buy a Blackberry, RIM give you a 5 user licence and the server software.

Today I went to cancel my Blackberry service, so that I can migrated to my work's server, and the jokers didn't know what to do.

I can write a thesis about BMW AUH but I won't even bother now. Just don't buy BMW if you are gonna get it serviced in Abu Dhabi.

Well "The-Club" can be added to this list.

Too busy to take my call, too busy to return my call. They just send out an email to say they are too busy.

Look at this rubbish.

"I refer to your telecon today and to our email of 2nd April, and regret that, due to the high demand for membership we will not be able to respond to further enquiries or correspondence and will contact you only if and when a suitable vacancy occurs.

Helen Brawn

Member Relations Executive"

Sorry, we're too busy to talk to you? If this is how they treat prospective customers, then they can take their club is shove it where the sun don't shine. I'll take my money elsewhere.

The Toyota service center staff in Mussafah are retards.

One guy tells me they don't fit towbars to Fortuners 4x4s, another tells me they do.

The parts guy tells me it will take 2 days to get a tow bar from they center in Dubai. 7 Days later its still in Dubai. Then they can't find the part. Then they find the part and its faulty.

One guy tells me I have to wait 1 month before I can bring my car in for a new bumper, they book my car in.

A month later I bring the car it, and they tell me they need to order the bumper and I have to come back.
